Delilah Cross
Sothern Tablelands Arts
My name is Delilah Cross, I come from a family of 7; 5 kids and I’m in the middle. Growing up, I was always the different one and I needed a way to express myself so I turned to music and writing, which definitely help me as a neurodivergent female. My biggest influences would have to be Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams, their lyrical ability to catch the essence of what they’re feeling is amazing.

Masked – By Delilah Cross
Lyrics
My mind is a little twisted
Like a puzzle, lost a couple of pieces
Try to talk, incapable of it
My mind runs a mile
I’m like a disorganised file
Tie the ribbon up
Now it’s stuck
Colours blend to make one
I’m stranger than you know
but I’m normal just for show
A mask attached to me
A best friend it seems to be
That mask on me
You wanna know all about me
I’ll show you what you wanna see
Too many ideas piled up
Overflowing in my cup
My mind runs a mile
I’m like a disorganised file
Tie the ribbon up
Now it’s stuck
Colours blend to make one
I’m stranger than you know
but I’m normal just for show
A mask attached to me
A best friend it seems to be
That mask on me
Slowly Sinking, Diving Deeper
Why am I always the weeper
Time to hide in my shell
I am on for show and tell
I’m stranger than you know,
but i’m normal just for show
A mask attached to me
A bestfriend it seems to be
That mask on me
Pyromaniac, burning bridges
Lying on my back, at the stars
Let the worries flee, set them free
I am not you, but I am me
