Jack Fuller
Arts North West
Jack William Fuller, professionally known as JACKY BOY, is a versatile First Nations music producer currently based on the south coast of Australia. With a unique sound that blends ethereal vocal chops and boom-bap/trap-inspired beats, Jack’s music embodies creativity and bold experimentation.
JACKY BOY made his official debut with the release of “My Heroine,” a single that breaks away from conventional structure by featuring no lead vocals or lyrics. Instead, it showcases intricate layers of vocal chops and hard-hitting drum patterns, building toward an unexpected yet meaningful crescendo.
Shortly after, he followed up with the album “See You In The Future,” a raw and unfiltered message to the world. The album opens with a freestyle rap recorded near train tracks in a small outback town, capturing the spontaneous energy of JACKY BOY’s music. The track, driven by a catchy double bass line, introduces listeners to his unapologetically bold and sometimes eccentric persona, which mirrors the sound of producer Jack Fuller himself.

Artist Statement
Since his first releases in 2022, Jack has been highly prolific, dropping six singles, eight albums, and one EP. Despite being raised in rural Australia by his single mother, an artist and musician, Jack’s musical roots are deep. His father, a trained guitarist, also played a role in shaping his sound. Early influences like The Doors, Michael Jackson, and Cat Stevens provided a strong foundation, while more contemporary artists like Bon Iver, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, Townes Van Zandt, and Frank Ocean continue to inspire him.
Jack’s most recent release, “Your Funeral” (October 2024), showcases his evolving artistry. With a heavy bassline and distorted, layered vocals, the track introduces a more mature, reflective JACKY BOY—no longer the wide-eyed teenager, but an artist with newfound depth and insight. This release marks the first of many to come after a 14-month hiatus, during which Jack lived in rural Australia without service. Despite the isolation, he’s been hard at work, crafting over 140 new projects, all set to be unveiled soon.
As the sole producer, mixer, writer, and performer of his work, Jack continues to release music under his label, The Smoking Dawg Production Company. With only GarageBand—a free app released by Apple in 2004—as his primary production tool, Jack proves that limitations can fuel creativity. His mission is to show aspiring young artists that with ingenuity, passion, and courage, it’s entirely possible to teach yourself music production and share your vision with the world
