Artist Statement
The interactive element of my work cannot be overlooked. It is to be viewed from all angles, animated, reacted to input; it can be played with, poked at, or made useful. My role is to maintain the illusion under these stresses. It’s one thing to generate beautiful graphics, another thing to do so efficiently. I enjoy the challenge, especially because it opens up a world of elegant mathematics, and I learn something new with each creation! Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, Computer Vision. What will this technology be capable of in decades to come? I want to be part of that revolution.
